The sunrise that almost was...

Went out of town about 2 hours on Saturday morning to try and get a different sunrise photo. Well the clouds got there before the sun did. The day wasn't a loss thought as it was great weather and we still got some good images.

I like it, certainly worth the drive and time spent getting that shot.

Very nice. The clouds make the shot. I find that sunrise and sunset shots with no clouds are pretty boring.

I agree that they can be in most cases. I don't mind the clouds at all but I was really wanting to capture the sun as it came up around this mountain. Unfortunately, it was totally blocked by the clouds and when we finally did see the sun, it was harsh light about 9:00 am.

Not complaining with the images that I got from that morning but they were not what I had in mind when I got up and went down there.
