The Tower

Took this picture with my first digital camera. A simple point and shoot kodak I got real cheap. Have been wanting to go back to this place and take more pics with my nicer camera. But the wife and I saw some kind of snake that was about 6 feet long and probably thick as my wifes wrist. So I will probably go back alone. Any hints on shooting objects like this in bright sunlight would be great.

Well, I think that in light situations such as this one, where you wish for a well exposed sky AND a well exposed tower, the dynamic range cannot be covered by your normal camera. So an HDR would be the technique of choice, I should say. But I speak all in theory only, I myself have never so far produced any HDR pics. I have so far always only admired those taken by others.
