Took this in Blackpool, i deliberately shot it at this angle because i wanted a film noir kind of shot. It was originally
shot in colour but i tinkered around in Photoshop and i ended up with this. Which was pretty much as i saw it in my head when i took the pic, if any of that makes any sense.

i really like this. i bet this was a difficult shot to execute, but you did it very well. the angle is what makes it so great i think.

Thank you for the comments, it's been printed out at A3 and hung on the wall, i'm very chuffed with it

that's really nice picture...love your shot..

Thank you

I'm not sure if if this will help anyone and i'm afraid i can more 'do' than
'explain' what i've done...

Firstly, i added a better sky (yes, i'm so sad i take pics of interesting
skies), i did this by duplicating the background layer then pasting the
new sky between the two layers. I just used the magic wand on the
upper layer (set to about 50) to delete the bland sky and let the new
one show through.

I flattened the image, then copied and pasted the red channel, which
gave a new mono layer. I altered the colour balance on the new layer
to about +20 yellow, +10 red (roughly). I then tweaked the levels down
a little to make it darker.

I created a new layer filled with black, i reduced the capacity to around
85% and used the eraser brush set to a big brush to erase the centre of
the new black layer which let the pic show through until i thought it looked
about right.

Flattened the whole image and thats pretty much how it turned out...

I hope that made some kind of sense,
