Ooooo, nice find, Kathleen!! It's doubtful I'll have time to drive to find any trilliums this weekend, so I'm hoping they last 'til next week. I hope to find a spot where there's a carpet of them in a forest, and will probably have to go online to figure out where that might be. Thanks for sharing your pic. I always love to see trilliums.

Thank you for your comments. I just have to share another of our beautiful Trilliums! I was out and about and came across this patch. I must say that I spent most of my childhood in the Haliburton area and I have never seen them this colour!

Nice DOF and composition in the first photo! Lovely flower. I tried to find out what it is called in German but couldn't ... my usual online dictionary does not know the name "trillium"...
