NIKON DX AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR
Any suggestions would be grately appreciated :D

Seems like you are already invested in Nikon glass/mounts.... D7100 sounds like a good upgrade. Up your FPS plus get the better build quality.

I'd say look for some better glass.

A Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 Vl or Vll should step up the IQ and help with low light indoors and out.

Edit: You could also get the 80-200mm AF-S which works very well for sports but if you're going to spend the money the VR is very nice.

I picked up a used Vll for just under $2k with tax and everything.

why do you have 3 lens covering the same range (55/70/200-300? sell all 3. that would be enough money to buy a tamron/sigma or a used 70-200 VR! that you could use with your TC.

The new 70-300 vc Tamron really good lens for the price.I use it for soccer all the time.

Thanks for your advise ... I have 3 lenses that cover the same range one came with my camera and 2 were gifts ... I have been eyeing the 70-200 VR

Thank You to everyone that took the time to give me some advise it is very much appreciated :)

How are your images? If they aren't great now, a new camera won't help. I wouldn't stop anyone from having some fun with gear, but understand it doesn't make better pictures. Only you can do that.

You didn't say what your budget was... but i would stick with the D7000 ($600 used, $750 refurbished, $900 new) or the new D7100 ($1200). I would recomend just getting the body only since you have most of the kit lenses anyway :)

For lenses... again it depends on budget.

If it was me, I would sell all 3 of your lenses in the 55-300mm range (Nikon 55-200, Tamron 70-300, Sigma 50-200) and replace them with the Nikon 70-300VR ($400 refurbished, $590 new). The Nikon 70-300VR is one of the best bang-for-buck outdoor sports lenses you'll find. The Auto focus is amazingly fast (faster then your current lenses) and its incredibly sharp.

If price is not an issue the Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 would be the next best option.

For most indoor sports... Your 35mm should be ok since you get to sit up close to the action in youth basketball anyway :).

you also have two 18-55 lenses listed.
sell all four lenses and get a third party 70-200 f/2.8 with VR used.

I only see one lens on that entire list of his that I'd keep. The 35mm 1.8

I'd sell the rest and buy something useful.
