Thirsty Bird - 2 views

I took this earlier in the month while I was camping with my family at Cachuma Lake. I'm still pretty undecided on how I feel about it. Critiques and comments please.

Um, I only see one view? I like it, but I think I would like it better if the background were all one color...or closer to being one color. It's a bit distracting. I like the silhouette-type pictures.

The second is a much better shot compositionally but I like the bird from the first one.

How about this? If you cropped the 2nd one to about the same FOV as the first one.

I think they both have distracting backgrounds but the 2nd on does have a uniform shade behind the bird.

Love the first image, Goddess. I think the only thing it needs is a crop on the top, right above the faucet to eliminate as much as you can of the distracting background. But it's a tighter composition and looks great to me! Nice work!

I like em both chick , I agree with terri on the first one though. So wadda they look like in black and white

Second one just has too many distractions for me.
