This has nothing to do with photography. Just one of my crazy life stories that I share from time to time.

This might be a long one.

Strap in tight.

Saturday night Keith had a show at a bar in town called "The Funhouse". It's a tiny little dive bar, that indie kids and musicians love to hang out at because anything goes. Seriously. I've heard some pretty weirdass ****ty music in that place before, but it's cool because it's the only venue around that'll let you do whatever you are there... and it's definitely not a cover scene. For the most part it's not, anyway.

So the people at the Funhouse have grown to love the guys and every time they play there they get more and more of a crowd.

Well recently some people from the Minersville/Pottsville area have decided that they wanted to be... super fans?... for the band.

One of the girls owns a bus and they decided that they were going to start offering transportation (a drunk bus... a party bus... whatever you want to call it) to every show the band plays.

So once in a while you get some new people jumping on board depending on where the shows are at, but in general there are these same 4 or 5 people that come to every show on that bus.

The first time I met them, *I* was riding on the bus, with the boys, to a Philly gig. It was free transportation for them, so why waste the gas, right?

Well when we got to this gig, I was shooting (my camera) and I was also pretty tired and in a very "chill" mood, so once I was done taking pictures, I put my camera away, found a comfortable spot in the front corner by the stage and bobbed my head to the music.

Some random blond girl, who I recognized from the bus kept coming up to me, telling me how "None of the girls are dancing! What's wrong with them?!", clearly implying that I should be dancing as well.

I ignored her.

She swung by a couple of times more and each time I gave her an uncomfortable smile and a nod and continued to ignore her passive pleas for me to dance with her.

FAST FORWARD to this past Saturday.

I went to the show with Keith, and I had my laptop with me because I often take it with me to shows so that I can edit.

I get a lot of people asking me... or the boys... why I even bothered coming if I was gonna just sit at a table and work, but you tell me. Would you rather be sitting at home alone all night, or would you rather go out and hear some music while still being able to get some work done? I mean, okay... sometimes I DO opt to stay home because it's more comfortable and I just don't feel like dealing with noise and drunkards... but it's my happy compromise between being able to go out and still feeling productive.

Plus, I mean, it's my husband's band. I've seen them a million times. I don't need to be up front EVERY single time they play.

But anyway, I had my laptop and I was working through their sound check and through the acoustic opener.

Some time during the acoustic set, the bus arrived.

The girl from the Philly show was among the bus travelers and she sat at the end of my table to talk to a woman who I was sitting next to. I noticed her, and politely said hello and she said, "Hi! I remember I seen you at the show in Philly! I was dancing, remember?"

"Yep, I remember. Sorry if I seemed bitchy, I was just really tired."

"Oh, it's cool. I just don't get why none'a them girls were dancin'! I mean, I'm from Pottsville! That's how we do it in Pottsville, ya know? We dance, and have a good time, and party, and them girls were just so BORING!"

::polite nod:: ::Awkward smile::

She said some other stuff, I can't really recall, but it's not really that pertinent. The point is was that she was there.

Well that night I was sipping on drinks, and by the time the boys got up to play full-band, I was in a very "rock and roll" kind of mood. ;D

So I saved my work. Packed up my laptop, went on stage and dropped it off behind the drum kit, went back to the audience, drink in hand and started movin' and groovin'. I mean, I was having' FUN. I gave myself whiplash at that show. No lie.

I mean it's dirty groove rock. How could I not?

["Pretty easily, Emily. Just don't whip your head around like an idiot."]

Psh. Semantics.

So anyway, while I was having my little party with myself up front, a couple of people would come in and out of my 1 person circle from time to time to dance with me, and that was fine, and that girl... let's call heeeeeeeeeer... uh... Bianca. Yeah. Let's go with that. Bianca was one of the people coming in and out of my one person dance party.
DancingBunny.gif

More and more she started to dance and interact with me... okay... whatever... End of the night came and Bianca and I were talking about nothing. I think she might have been going on and on and on about how good she thinks the band is, and her boyfriend, who has his arm amputated somewhere below the elbow, comes over and puts his other hand gently on Bianca's arm as if to say hello, and she FLIPS his hand violently away and yells, "DON'T YOU ****ING TOUCH ME!"

She turns to me as she's texting and says, "He ****ing cheats on me all the time. He ****s all of my friends."

 Ummm.... ??? "Oh... I see."

I don't remember what else was said after that, but the bus left shortly after that incident, and I told the boys about it and they said that they're pretty sure that's not true, and if anything it's the other way around. I didn't really know whether or not that was true. The singer knows those people better than any of us, so I figured he'd know... whatever. Didn't matter to me either way.

FAST FORWARD TO YESTERDAY.

The Funhouse.

Bus shows up.

I'm in the middle of helping Keith bring gear in and I put something down, turn around, and there Bianca is.

Once again, I give her a polite, "Hello", without trying to keep eye contact for too long and in return she gives me this huge, "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY GIIIIIIIIIIIIIRL!!! HOW ARE YOU?!" and THROWS her arms around me.

Oh dear God... please... no.

I got sucked into small talk for a few seconds before I found a gap and said, "Hey, I gotta help Keith load stuff in... I'll be back."

I didn't have to help him load anything in. We were done. I just wanted outa there.
biglaugh.gif
So I ran outside after him and managed to avoid Bianca for a few moments.

When Keith and I went back inside, Keith, the bass player and I were all talking about an incident that just happened concerning the band, just moments prior.

I stopped speaking for the time being because Sam and Keith were just discussing something that I was listening to and Bianca runs up to me and very loudly tells me that she posted about the band playing and that she already got "FIFTEEN COMMENTS on it!!!"

"Ohh... cool."

"Yeah, man... I like promote, you know? I promote the **** out of them, cause that's what they need, you know? They need good fans that are gonna dance and PROMOTE! And I'm like, '[Band], oh yeah! Good times, oh yeah!' and I already got FIFTEEN comments! Hahaha.... don't mind me... I had a WHOLE BOTTLE of wine on the bus! Haha, but you know how I am. It's cool! My friend are jealous man. They were like, 'aw we're gonna miss it and I'm like', 'well too bad! You should have come!', you know? Cause I PROMOTE!!!!"

Yeah. I was trying not to be rude, and I was desperately trying to break away to hear what the boys were saying, but after a minute I just gave up and listened to her ramble about how she was wasted already from one bottle of wine on the bus and about how she PROMOTES on Facebook. Oh yeah.

This behavior went on and on and on.

Again, I had my laptop, and I was editing. Of course the ONLY table in the whole joint is one that her and her boyfriend had already sat at. Lucky me. But thank GOD the guitar player's girlfriend showed up so we were talking for a bit.

But then Bianca came back. And started talking HER ear off... continuing to talk about her bottle of wine and other needless ****. She even stated several times, reassuringly to Cora, "Oh, it's okay! Emily knows how I am when I'm drunk, but it's fun! I have fun!"

Cora saw me working at one point and said, "Oh wow! Did you take that?"

"Yeah, I did!"

So I proceeded to open my catalog and show her more images from the shoot I was working on. BIANCA, on the other hand, made it very difficult to do so.

She complimented the background on one of my images. I said thanks.

I flipped the image and she once again complimented the same background. "Oh my god, look at the HORIZON!!!!!"

"Yeah... So anyway, Cora, as I was saying, this shoot was for this girl who wants to become..."

"The HORIZON is just so PRETTY! LOOK AT THE COLORS!!!!" [Proceeds to touch my screen to show me JUST where the horizon is pretty]

"Yeah... Um... This model, wants to become a model for this wig company so she..."

"GO ON MY FACEBOOK! You have to see these pictures, there is this place! It has waterfalls and oh my god, it's SOOOOOO beautiful! Go on my facebook and see them!"

"I don't have the internet right now..."

"Just go on my Facebook! You'll see them! It's so pretty! There are waterfalls and ****! It's so beaaaautiful!!!!!"

"I don't have the interne..."

"Like, you wouldn't believe how gorgeous it is! Down here there ain't that ****, you know? I'm a country girl! You know? I like trees and waterfalls and ****, but that **** ain't down here."

Yeah. Clearly. Because the backdrop of the image we're looking at WASN'T taken in the backyard of my inlaws whom my husband and I previously lived with prior to January 2012... CLEARLY there are NO mountains, or valleys, or landscapes... and there DEFINITELY aren't 20 different trails leading to the Apalachin around here either. Nope. None of that ****. We ain't country folk down here neither.

"Yeah... that's cool... So anyway, CORA... she wants to become a model for this wig company... they're looking for models now and she wants to send these in..."

"I want you to take pictures of me in those waterfalls! It'll be like, sexy, you know? But like... SOOOO BEAAAAUUUUUUUUUTIFUL!!!!" ::Turns to Cora:: "Don't mind me. I just had a bottle of wine on the bus... but EMILY knows how I am, so it's okay!!!!!"

God, I have NEVER wanted someone to SHUT THE **** UP in my life as much as I did that night.

I just wanted to go. Edit some photos. Hear some music. Chill with my friends when they got there.

I mean for god's sake, I showed up in a Mickey Mouse hoodie, no makeup, and "a cow sucked on my head for dinner" hairstyle, because I was playing with products earlier in an experiment gone HORRIBLE wrong. I was TOTALLY in chill mode. Fo' Realz.

So eventually Bianca gets up to dance to the acoustic set the boys played... because they're silly and will open up for themselves sometimes... you know... so they can cut down on the amount of "gayass covers" they have to play as a full band............ by playing them as an acoustic band. (Yeah, it doesn't make any ****ing sense to me either. The covers they play as a full band, which are just to fill time because while they have a ton of original music, it's not enough to fill a 3 set night, are MUCH better than half the stuff they play acoustically... but what the **** do I know. I'm just the drummers wife. )

Anyway, so this crazy girl is dance. And by dancing I mean having sex with an invisible pole.

I noticed that every once and a while she would lean into her boyfriend who started OFF dancing with her... but was now sitting at the end of the table and say something to him. It SEEMED, by the tone of voice and the look on her face that she was saying something mean, but I wasn't sure.

Until I heard, "GO **** A WHORE!"

 ???

She took a couple steps away from the table, dancing again. A few moments later, leaned into him again shouting in his face, "GOODBYE!!! BYEEEE!!! I FOUND A RIDE HOOOOME! ****ING LEAVE! GO **** A WHORE WITH CROTCH ROT!!!"

At this point I'm thinking, "Oh dear lord, please don't let this crazy ***** cause a scene..."
post-402-1157723848.gif

God has a funny sense of humor.

Bianca went to the OTHER side of the floor to dance. Stayed there for a minute or so and then FLEW back to our table, SMACKED her boyfriend in the head, started yelling at him, SMACKED him again, spit in his face, and dear lord a fight broke out.

She was beating on him, he had her hair with his one good hand, and somehow they ended up away from the table and in the corner of the pool area about 10 feet away from our table.

Two people who also came on the bus saw what was happening and ran over trying to pry him off of this poor dude, to no avail at first, until I saw him slip out from under the mass of people, shirtless.

Bianca surfaces, still swinging and screaming, lunging at... let's call him Bob... and these other guys are trying desperately to drag her out of the narrow bar.

There were casualties along the way.

A patron who had NOTHING to do with the bus or the band got his own beer spilled on him as Bianca escaped the bus driver's grip and elbowed the poor dude.

I heard a couple other people got shoved into along the way.

They finally managed to get her outside and there was an awkward air in the bar as the song the boys were playing finished.

"Well that was a downer..." the singer said. The rest of the band giggled awkwardly and started the next song.

A few minutes later another girl from the bus came back to the table asking where Bianca's stuff was. I handed it to her and she then asked me, "So what do I do with this stuff if she doesn't come back?"

"What do you mean if she doesn't come back?"

"I dunno, man, she just ran across the street yelling to these two dudes, 'Help me! These white people are trying to beat me up!"

Weird she would say "these white people" since SHE TOO... is white... but maybe the guys she was calling to weren't and she figured she could gain their sympathy that way? I dunno. I wasn't out there.

Well her ridiculousness got the whole bus kicked out... which was bad because 3/4ths of the band road to the gig on that bus... so they couldn't go back home.

So they opted to drive to the Sands Casino, which is also here in Bethlehem, until the band was done playing.

When the bus came back at the end of the night, we were all taking about how crazy Bianca was for starting a fight, and how we were surprised she didn't get arrested. At that point one of the guys from the bus said, "Well she's sitting in jail NOW."

"Seriously?! what happened?!", I asked... not really out of *concern* so much as amusement.

I'm a bad person, I know.

"Well, she started hitting Bob again in the casino so everyone went outside and when she got outside she was hitting him and spitting at him, and there were two cops there that saw it. So they tried to break it up and she spit at the cops and told them they were pieces of ****.............. and now she's in jail."

Oh my god... what an CRAZY *****. Seriously.

What DOES make me feel bad however, is the fact that, somehow during the night, when Bianca was still in a good mood, it came out that she has a 4 year old daughter.

It was at that point that I wanted to ask, "You have a 4 year old daughter and your 1.5 hours away from home, drunk off of an ENTIRE bottle of wine on a Thursday night? WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"

I didn't.

But I wanted to.

I also wanted to tell her to shut the **** up, several times before that, but I didn't because I felt like she'd be the type to suddenly turn on me and punch me in the face, even though she had thought, just moments prior, that we were BESTIES!

Well I was right. She WAS the violent type.

But yeah.

Wow.

And the second best part?

She commented on Facebook today, "Sorry about last night everyone no more drinking for me". HAHA! Yeah right.

But the BEST part?

As I was typing this I checked Facebook and her relationship status was changed to "In a relationship with Bob".

Either Bob is a masochist and REALLY likes being treated like ****... or he really IS ****ing all her friends and just taking his "punishment" like a man.

But in EITHER of those cases... I would think that one of them would NOT want to be with the other... but I guess that's what happens when you're a ****ing lunatic?

I dunno.

I just had to share. It was one of those really weird, surreal, movie-type, "Am I dreaming?" kind of nights. Not even because of all of that. Some other stuff happened too, to make it feel that way, but that was just the CRAZIEST of them all.

Ps. Please excuse any typos... I'm trying to fix any I see now... but I mean... it took me over an hour to WRITE this... so you know... forgive me.

LMAO!

Poor you!

I hate people like that am I'm usually too nice and I will nod and smile - then get stuck with them.

The ironic thing is it sounds EXACTLY like my brother and his soon-to-be ex wife (hopefully it happens this time). The only difference is my bro is missing his leg not his arm ;) I can't get over it. I swear I was reading about them even the part about her accusing him of sleeping around when it's really her. Oh yeah - and her beating on him.

Feel bad for Bianca's daughter. Nothing like growing up in a ****ed up family dynamic. I really don't get the people who choose to have kids then still act like they are teens without responsibility. Not saying you can't have fun when you have kids - but......it shouldn't be an everynite/weekend type thing IMO.

Anyways, kind of sucks for you because you'll probably be seeing her again - your bestest friend in the whole wide world!

If they're dumb enough to bring her on the bus again, yeah, I'll probably see her again.

It's part of the reason I'm NOT going to the show tomorrow.

1. I'm in one of those, "I want to work in the comfort of my own home" kind of moods and 2. I REALLY... really... don't want to deal with her. Because she lives in Pottsville area and that's where the show is, so regardless of whether or not they let her back on that bus (and they probably will because they're all friends... ), she'll probably be there.

NOT in the mood. Because NEXT time, I'm NOT going to be nice about it.

And yeah... I mean... she's a 27 year old woman with a 4 year old daughter.

I'm a 25 year old woman, with NO daughter and *I* know better than to behave the way she does. Jeez.

I just can't wrap my mind around it. Seriously.

 No... images like that should NEVER go on record. :lmao:

I DID actually chop off ALL of my hair. I will be doing a self portrait of that soon... once I figure out the right amount of wax and the right way to apply it without looking like a bovine was sucking on my head for an hour. :biglaugh:
