Thought I would say hi!

Hey, I'm new to this forum and also fairly new to photography. My name is Collin and I'm a 19 year old student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

My favorite hobby is working on cars and going to race events. The biggest reason I want to get into photography is because I love taking pictures and covering events for friends and car forums.

Right now I use a film Nikon SLR. It is my dad's so I'm not sure what exact model it is. I'm in the market for my own digital SLR and have a little bit of cash to spend, so if you'd like to make suggestions, I'm all for it.

I'm new to this so I'm here to learn.

Welcome to TPF Collin! There's plenty of car freaks here as well as photographers!!

If you post a question in General about a new DSLR, I'm sure you'll get a hearty response.
