Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi, I'm sometimes editing photos in Photoshop CS5 via the "edit in" function in Lightroom.
After the work in CS5 is done, I save the image, and it returns to Lightroom.

But this evening I stumbled upon something that looks like massive compression in the "CS5 -> Lightroom process". Here, take a look at a photo in CS5 just before I save, and the same photo afterwards in Lightroom.

Left: Photoshop CS5 - looks as good as it gets.
Right: Same photo saved as TIFF (with no compression-setting) returned in Lightroom - looks terrible!

The difference is big, and I don't understand why! I've tried saving both as PNG and TIFF, and it just looks like an old, compressed JPEG nomatter what I do.
Can anyone please help?

Which release of Lightroom? 2, 3, 4?

LR 4 uses PV-2012, while CS 5/Lightoom 2 & 3 uses PV-2010

It's in Lightroom 4, but I found out that the problem was my Preview Resolution set too low - in Developer the image looks like in CS5

That was my guess.

Remember that in Lightroom you are just looking at a LR generated preview...and you can set what size of preview you want to use.
