[The_Caper]

This Tiger is one of many in a bush I have in my back yard.
They are a srong orange color. Relatively a basic shot but I would like some advice/critique on the DOF, Saturation, Focus and Color as I am posting images to learn from. There is Zero processing here.

i think you used either auto or shutter priority mode(normal mode 2). both of which are bad in this situation. use manual and get used to it, you will be very happy that you can be more creative with your photography.

i see you used a flash to fill, good idea. maybe a little deeper of a DOF but besides that nice cap.

And yes I believe a deeper DOF would have been far better and you are correct, I used my 430EX for fill. I can't remember but I thought I was on Apeture Priority at 5.6 which is the max opening for the 28-135 mm IS at
135.
