Time lapse for Westlife gig

I got a call to do a time lapse shoot for the new Westlife DVD now the problem is they want the time lapse over 1 full week while they build the stage etc but who can this be done without leaving a laptop? There is the Canon remote but as far as i read they can only do max 100 frames?

Do i have any options??

Dedicated timelapse remote would be the way. They plug into the side of the camera and you can set the shooting interval and just get it to fire off continuous. Problem you'll have is power more than anything. A 4GB CF card could easily fit 3000 smallish JPEGs on it. Given that it's for video quality isn't an issue here.
