Took a trip to Muir of Dinnet nature reserve on Saturday, took a wrong turn and ended up to the blue trail, which goes round the whole of Loch Kinord (over 6k). Poor dog was knackered afterwards. Saw lots and lots of toads among other birds. Got my first ever lapwing, which was really hard to follow in the air as their flight pattern is so erratic.

OMG! toad porn first thing in the morning. :p :biglaugh: Sorry couldn't help myself. Very nice set of pics.

Haha thanks! I should put warning on it, I did feel bad sticking my lens in their faces while they were *ahem* busy.

Very good set of shots, had to laugh at the naughty toads :)

Great set, and good job on the lapwing. I've not been able to get one yet-in flight, as you say, very erratic flyers. I did manage to get some snaps of their young last year though.

Cheers Goooner,

It was very interesting watching them in the air, never seen something like it before. Was on the look out for adders too, but didn't fancy dragging the dog through scrub looking for them.
