Without the light the eye is kinda dead, but I agree that the shape of that particular light is kind of unfortunate. Might try a softer or more diffused light... maybe with a bounce card or something. (obviously I'm talking about re-shooting vs. fixing)

That being said, I prefer it with the slightly unfortunate light than without any at all.
