Where's canon?

Never heard of panasonic or olympus. I know samsung makes laptops and minolta doesn't exist anymore.

no cannon because it's to far out of my price range...

good to know about the minolta, I take it that if I bought a minolta I would have a hard time finding lens, flashes, etc??

D50, thats what i'm hoping to buy soonish. I decided on it almost entirely because of the price. I also have several friends who own them and have used theirs and found it a versatile camera with good quality pictures even using the cheapest kit lens.
