Photos OK to edit
What is the upper file size limit for photos with the XenForo forum software TPF uses?

I thought I saw something like 5000 pixels on one side but I can't find it now There seems to be a problem with the uploader - it keeps telling me "The gallery only accepts photos at this time" but I'm trying to upload a 3000x2000 jpeg.

File size limit, not image resolution.
The 2 are not the same thing, though image resolution can effect file size.

A 5000 x 3846 px image of a landscape scene will have a much bigger file size than a 500 3846 px image of a black single color wall.

I'm hoping an Admin will chime in.

4mb
drop the resolution to the internet's 96dpi

The "Internet" doesn't have, and can't have, a dots per inch (dpi).
It doesn't have a set pixels per inch (ppi) either.

For digital photographs the pixels per inch (ppi), or print resolution, only applies when a print is made.
In other words ppi is meaningless, and has zero effect, when a digital photo is displayed electronically.
