Trail to the Red Cathedral

The colors in the canyon were very strong and the shadows harsh- so I've decided to try something different on a few;

1. B&W

2. Sepia tone

3. Selective color

4. Selective color

I like the sepia tone, although it looks more like a selenium tone to me. Sepia would be more olive brown. Selenium is purple maroony. I still like that previous color post the best!

I gave it my best shot; it appears as if we all are in agreement though.

of these, i'm really digging the last one... i like the desaturated tone, and the "many faces" subject matter... :thumbup: i'm off to find the "previous color post" now...

After getting away from these for a couple days, I look back in, and they ain't as bad as I thought. I sort of like #3, although I should put back in 'some' of the yellow in the foreground ridge. I have to figure out what 'sepia tone' is and how to effectively pull it off. Thanks again everyone!
