transparent background cover

I was wondering if anyone knew of something I could get to place over a backdrop to protect it. I have a client who is wanting to take photos of her baby eating a birthday cake. I was hoping to put some type of transparent protective cover over my backdrop but wasn't sure what to use. Any recommendation?

How about a green screen and just cut and paste 'em onto what ever you like. You can then just wash the green screen. (assuming of course that you get a washable one )

When I do those pictures, I buy a plastic tablecloth that you would use at a birthday party. Pink or Baby Blue work great for babies.
Then there is no cleaning, you just pick it up and throw it away.
