You can get the fisheye effect from any lens...as long as you have photoshop.
 
Fisheye lenses were popular in the 1970s, along with Mirror lenses with doughnet shaped bokeh.

Get the 11~66.
 
I wont be doing this effect on all my photos, to me it looks too fake if i'm going for the fisheye effect I will purchase the lens.

Its distorting the image...its just a matter of whether you do it opticaly, or digitaly.
 
I have the 10.5 and actually use it for some things that I either want a really wide field on, or for effect. With the 10.5 like any other fisheye you can post process the circular effect out with either the Nikon software, or Hemi which is much better. The Nikon software cuts off too much of the photo for my tastes.
 
Yes Mully both prices listed here are used on local CL. I can get both lenses for $550 roughly. give or take $50.00 / Thanks for all the input as well I think I might be going for the Tokina after all.
