yes way too much detail of no real subject, but can see where your coming from, coming from england myself i love to shoot winter or early spring shots, it really brings out the russets of the foliage, but would have chose a better backdrop...

IMO, The subject is the lines and shape of branch. But, I would crop the right haft out all together from the center right. Then convert to B&W and boost contrast, so it is all most monotone. Sorry, But as it is I would have to agree that it is confusing and missing something.
