In the first one something about the roof and sky combination catches my attention, not really sure what it is, but very good colors... In the 2nd nothing really catches my attention. To me it doesnt seem like there is really a subject... This just IMO

I understand your opinion, sometimes there is a subject, othertimes I just like the way something is being hit by light or how colors compliment, I've added another shot that's not as much subject as light and color
