Trying to find pictures from a trip

Hello,
I made a trip almost 5 years ago and my camera was broken... some people in my group (it was a tour) took me some pictures and I gave them my email but I never got the pics and I don't have their email address or any contact.
This is the first time I write about it because I think with all social media we have it could be possible (very hard but possible) to find that people and those pics. I remember there was a site where people posted pics when they had found a lost camera but I cannot find the name online (maybe it does not exist anymore because very few people uses cameras nowadays).
Anyway, if somebody think they can help me I will be grateful. Any advice about where to publish this or where to look.
