I really like the texture and details in the lamp shade. Greatcomposition and I believe the title gives the picture an added negative(in a good way) feeling to the photo.

Really nice shot. It kind of reminds of a sprial staircase, until Ifigure out that it is a lamp! Definitely agree that the tone is justright.

How did you meter for light?

I really like this too. The lamp shade texture is awesome and the lighting is very nice. I think what makes me like this image the most is how boring it would be in color, that's quite a contrast in iteself.

How did you meter for light?

I set my camera to spot meter toke one reading on the light, toke one reading in between the shade and one almost outside of the shade.

This is the second mentioned.

Thanks everyone for all the kind comments. I want to try this shot again with a low watt bulb to try and get the inside of the bulb plus the shade or whatever light I take. This bulb was a 100 watt and is really bright.
