Many will have already seen this place before as I have posted 1 or 2 :)raisedbrow:) shots of this tree over the years......
Promised myself a day out with the camera and took a ride up to my favourite tree . I probably should have waited a little longer for the sun to cover all that side of the bank but it was cold and I wanted to head off to another spot before the light changed too much.

This is a 3 shot hdr shot with the 17-55.
20mm.
10sec-3.2sec-0.8sec.
ISO 100.
F22.
& stacked filters.

TFL and all the best.

I think that's a very good HDR picture. You used HDR to overcome the limited dynamic range of your sensor but the picture does not have the typical HDR look, which is fake and cartoonish IMHO. As you said yourself, it would have been an even better picture if there was a bit more light on the right bank. But as it is, the shadow in the foreground and the clear blue sky really express the feelings of a cold winter morning.

I like the water how its all like sweet looking.
ahhah

Also saw this over at Fred Miranda...at f/22 and ISO 100 the water effects are due to the very slow shutter speed...very nice capture!
