Two of my D800 shots from India!

Hi People! I decided to buy my Nikon D800 eventually! And it came just in time for my trip to India! (Yesterday) Today i went out on the streets in this really rural village with a population of about 200, and found some interesting faces to shoot! Here are two of my shots from today! Let me know what you think! I'm sure i'll post more as the week goes on!

IMO, the first one is off a bit, low contrast, wb and strange magenta tint.

I think that Lew's edit unleashed the beauty of the first one. Excellent portrait.

Thanks guys, yeah i realised after i posted it of what i could do to make them better! So i've tweaked them both in Lightroom and bought out the detail and finer colour... i must say they look a lot better!! So thanks traveller! Also i paid 2,550GBP for the D800, i wasn't on any waiting list or pre order list, but i sourced it from a guy in Athens, luckily enough my mother and brother live there so they managed to get it sent to me! And for a very good price too! Now just saving up to buy the 24-300mm nikkor! As ken rockwell seems to rave about it!!
