uhhh...overexposed

well i put this photo in for 8 seconds and it was way to dark. So i tossed that one and at the end of my class i quickly put this one in for only 5 seconds of exposure and it is still to dark. Should i lower the light or timing? i have many photos i need to still print but if they are going to be under 5 seconds they must b too dark even though they look alright on the enlarger and negatives..??

oh yeah.... more than 2 stops over. With short enlarger times like this, try stopping down first.
