Unbountiful harvest

Yep, this lovely beast is the corn that popped up this year. Maybe it was just too hot? At least this one had some kernels!

It seems very blury to me. I know here in South Jersey whole crops of corn have been lost to the drought.

Sorry about the bluriness. I was sort of going for a soft focus faux glamour effect for my ridilulous corn specimen. Yeah I heard about the drought problems. We tried to water enough but it was unseasonably hot this summer- up to 117 degrees. Very unusual for this area!

I don't agree with the blurriness comment, I think the soft focus effect you were going for worked out great! I think this is a really nice shot.

great shot... it has a great feel to it, i think you succeeded with the the softness. the tilt throws me off a little bit... but i know it was intentional, probably wouldn't have the same effect if it was straight...
