I think the horizon is fairly straight. I think the effect you are seeing is from two things: a wide angle lens, and the curvature of the surface water from the oncoming wave. (notice how the water 'horizon' appears to curve upward to the right)

One of the coolest pictures I've seen in a long time. With what were you shooting this? May I ask what you did in post-processing. I've shown others this shot, and the reaction is always a double-take WOW!
