I can't decide whether this leading line leads in or out of the shot. An image from a walk on Giggleswick Scars in the Yorkshire Dales, with my other half as the focal point.

Nicely spotted Tony.

For me, it leads out. My eye is first drawn to the red shirt of the person. Then, it travels along the wall. The good thing, is that the curvature of the wall brings my eye right back down to the person.

Thanks Woodsac. Yes, that's the way it works for me too. I suppose the photographic "rule" that this shot breaks is that figures are better seen entering a frame with space in front of them, rather than exiting as here. So, I "should" have taken this shot from the other side of the wall. But then I wouldn't have had the nice shadow. Rules are meant to be broken, aren't they?

Regards, Tony
