Heya,
I'm supposed to copy the style of a photographer, and I've chosen Richard Avedon. I'm doing a collection of portraits, and I was wondering how he gets the very dark and contrasty images?
I was wondering what kind of film and development processes that would be reccomended?
So far all I think I can do is shoot Agfa apx100 b&w film at 800, and overdevelop by about 5 or 6 minutes on top of that, and use a dark contrast filter. Thats about all I can think of, and I'm still not getting the results I want. Any reccomendations will help,
thanks
