US vs UK pocket wizards - any external way to tell the difference?

Hiya. Does anyone know if there's an external way to tell the difference between US and UK version Pocket Wizards? I just bought a PW Plus on Ebay and it's not talking to my Plus IIs so I am wondering if I have gotten sent a US version (I am in the UK)... Bought in on the UK version of Ebay and seller didn't say it was US but not sure what else the problem could be.

The Plus cable jacks are labeled as "Sync Output" and "Local Flash" while the Plus IIs are labeled "Camera Flash" and "Flash" - don't know if this is a difference in UK / US labeling or a difference in PW generation labeling.

Frequency difference, it will be obvious. A PocketWizard sold in the USA will have “FCC” on it; a European version will have the letters “CE.”

Lots of stuff made and sold in the USA has CE on it.

But yes, the EU has differing frequency allocations for radio frequency devices compared to the US.

No need to contact anyone KmH, the American Pockwizard is marked FCC, and the Euro CE per my post above.
