I have a question

A local guy is selling a "new light kit" on craigslist for $325 and it includes the following..

"Quality strobe lighting with an exceptional value for commercial studios, location photographers, photo schools, students and amateurs as well.

These strobes contain all the fundamental features of more expensive units as well as some professional functions such as continuous power adjuster with fine setting clutches, dual lock-locking stand adapter.

This kit contains all of the following items:

2 TTL 150 Watt Strobe

1 S-45 Watt Slave Light

1 36" Black/Silver Reflector Umbrella

1 20" Double-sided Silver/Gold Round Reflector

1 Light & Umbrella Holder

3 Light Stands (2 can be extended to 7' & 1 can be extended to 4')

1 Wireless Trigger

2 Softboxes: (1)40 x 60cm & (1)50 x 70cm

5 Color Gels (green, blue, white, red & orange)

3 Backdrops: (1)black/white/gray 3 x 6m fantasy, (1)black 1.5 x 2m & (1)white 1.5 x 2m

1 Equipment Bag (70cm x 25cm x 30cm)

Features:

Color temperature corrected flash strobe, 5600k

Remote sensor / slave

Built in accessory umbrella holder

Angle-adjustable fixture"

I will be using it for on-site portraits. I have a 40D with a 580ex flash. My question is:

Is this worth it?
and how do i control the slave flashes? with my 580ex?

thanks
ian
