Using Flash Properly

What do they say? What you don't light is more important than what you do? Something to that effect.

I don't see why people try to feet rid of shadows. It's good to have em', it makes the photo look more interesting. And like the saying goes... "if you want to make something look more interesting don't light all of it."

And you can tell when your using flash correctly when viewers can't tell there was flash used. (that's what I think)
