Using old cameras to create beautiful new photos

I am new to this forum and look forward to increasing my knowledge of photography. I have always been interested in photography, but would like to become more sophisticated in taking photos. I am on another forum, www.saponitown.com, wherein I discuss a photographer who deliberately purchases old cameras and takes photos with them in anticipation of some extraordinary results. This is a very creative approach and he appears to be very pleased with the results he has obtained so far.
