I've never gotten why they call it Canadian Bacon...as far as I know Canadian bacon is just ham...but regular bacon is way better.

Thanks. In all honesty, I have relatives in Montreal and Ottawa. Sadly, I've only ever been to Niagra Falls--sad really, especially since I live in Washington, so it's not too terribly far.

I've also always wondered about the "canadian" bacon. The only thing I could ever think of is either it's cuz there's maple in some of them or maybe Canadian Bacon is a special way of curing ham that was originaly from Canada.

Oh, also, one of the people I looked at in my thesis was a French-Canadian, a 19th century strongman named Louis Cyr.
