Vegas this weekend! Need advice.

Hey guys, I'm heading to Vegas this weekend for a nice R&R from school and I'm taking the camera with. I want to get a cool night shot of all the lights but I'm not exactly 100% positive how to shoot the dark background with bright lights. Should I be looking to have a long exposure, big f/stop, and low ISO? It will be setup on a tripod of course but I'm just not very familiar with the whole night shots.. Also, I took this picture on Easter. It is irrelevant to the Vegas trip but while you're here you might as well let me know what you think about it.
