Very Newbie after advice...

Well.... ok.

Had a post here containing a Hello, various questions, couple of pics. Just generally tried to do a good 1st post to get some responses to, advice etc.

47 views - nobody even said Hello. The first forum I've been on in Years (and I lurk in Many) where a first poster would be ignored completely for 24 hours. It was the only thread on here in fact that had no replies after so many views.

Perhaps I put in too much for a first post here - who knows. But its gone now, so problem solved.

We're not unfriendly btw macropleasure nice to see another Austrian on this forum. I say move down to Australia like me. The weather is much nicer for photography. It isn't cloudy half the year

i've also noticed participation goes in cycles... the weather must be nice outside and/or people have already taken off for the long weekend. (here in the US... Monday is Memorial day.. I have to work bummer).

In any case, welcome to the forum. I've been on numerous forums of all sorts of topics... rangefinders, canon, mazda, automotive, camera collecting, pentax, baby stuff (yes.. don't laugh), news, politics (the worst), etc... This forum is one of the most welcoming. Too bad my busy schedule only allows time for quick posts/replies rather than my photos themselves.

This forum definitely goes in cycles. You must have hit it right at the bottom of the cycle. At any rate, this forum has been very helpful to me and Ive only been here a month or so. You'll figure out who is who soon enough. Welcome.

He,he Ummmmmm sorry Jakaru! So, what were the questions? This is a very busy time of year for most of the pros anyway and most of the US is gearing up for the coming holiday as usayit said. I would be too if I hadn't accidentally introduced my finger to a table-saw.

As stated the folks here are generally a nice lot and freely give their advice. But we all should remember that it is a gift. The when and how of those gifts are serendipitous and should be expected as such.

First of all, let me say Welcome and I'm sorry you didn't feel welcome. I have found this forum to be very, very friendly and informative. If you post your questions again, I'd be happy to try to help. I'm fairly new to photography myself, but have done a fair amound of lurking and learning and am creeping up into the intermediate levels of photography.
