Video Resources (Books, etc.)

Hello all! I'm normally hanging out on the photography side of the forums...I have a cousin that's getting into videography (still in high school) that I would like to give a bit of assistance. So, basically, I'm looking to get some feedback/advice on a good resource to teach him fundamentals, lighting, sound recording, etc. Do y'all have any books, etc. that you would recommend?

Will he be using a DSLR? I tried a bit of it. Just search DSLR video. If he uses a video camera then it's different (at least the controls). Video is sure different than still photo's. Good luck.

Currently, he's using a video camera. That's why I thought something more general or cross-functional would be the best bet. Something along the lines of composition, lighting, etc. for video...I dunno. Video's not my game...Maybe someday but not today.
