View from Herman Heights

This is taken atop a hill in New Ulm, Minnesota where I used to go to school. It's kind of an optical illusion... the road is actually going uphill at the part closest to the camera, and evens out at the bottom where in this pic it seems to be going uphill.

What green!
There is one time in the year (usually in May, here too) when everything that grows green leaves (bushes, trees, grass etc) is so young, it all has this yellowy green. Wow!

The way that road leads throw the picture and playing tricks on our eyes is interesting!

Yup this is where Hermann lives (right behind me in this shot, actually). And off to the right would be where my Ulma Mater is located.
