Vimy Memorial to Canadian Soldiers - France

The following pics were all taken at the Vimy Ridge Memorial to Canadian Soldires who died there in World War I.
It is located at Vimy, in N. France nr. Arras.
This particular spot was donated to the Canadian people and is now considered Canadian soil and administered by the Canadian gov't.
A very moving spot.

Indeed a wonderful tribute to the soldiers of your country...
wonderful shots from slide film..
i like the first one... it works for me centered :thumbsup: .. teamed with the leafless trees and the blue blue sky it makes for a real nice shot
second is a very simple/pleasing shot.. nice angle
third, wonderful angle.. and love the window to the sky.. nicely composed

fourth.. i love it! nice blue tones that go along with the browns in the statue... it just seems so real, the pose... the mood...

I was in France a few years back. I've actually visited here a couple of times.
