Vivitar Auto Thyristor 5600 zoom lens on Nikon D50??

Does anyone know if it is ok to put this flash on my D50???

I couldn't find that model here so I can't tell if the trigger voltage is compatible with that camera. That would be my only concern.

If it's safe, then you should be able to use that flash, but probably not with any of the camera's fancy TTL flash metering.

Well, it just might work with your camera's TTL then. Is it Nikon dedicated?

I don't know much at all about Nikon (I'm a Canon guy) so I don't know the different versions of TTL and what is compatible. Sorry.
