Taken at RAF Cosford airshow in the early 90's. These never failed to set off the car alarms!

I don't realy like bumping my own photos as I think it's forcing my crap onto someones screen but I've had so many sink with no comment & few views here it is again!

Oh, wow, with this photo you wouldn't think it'll ever get itself airborne... - erm ... unless it is landing maybe? :blulsh2:

My son thinks it might be landing, but he's not sure... he's now looking for smoke at the tyres... no smoke, no after-burner... he`s wondering if you'd see it with this type of plane, now he's going to study the flaps.... says: no flaps, no airbrakes, no parachute... in case it has one? He doesn't know, either.

It's landing. You can tell from the spoilers on the top of the wings to reduce the amount of lift they can produce!

One of the privalages of marshalling at these events is that you don't get people standing in front of you!

Oh, now my son says "Now I see it, yes, those are the airbrakes!" But then he is not too familiar with the type of airplane, so he did not see the spoilers at first.

By the way, my son is also saying "That monkey of his is cheeky, isn't it? 'BOO'."

They are currently in the process of restoring this plane, it's gonna cost millions though. A friend of mine is in the vulcan soceity who raised funding to get to the stage where the national lottery would part fund it.

It'd be nice to see it flying again.

Great Aeroplane. I've made my donations to the restoration project too. It'd be great to see it fly again and you can be sure I'll be there to photograph it if it does .
