War Photographer DVD- James Nachtwey

Well it arrived today by post, ordered from Amazon.co.uk £10.49 new. Took 1 week, ordered from the U.K, through a company in North Carolina but shipped from New Zealand!

So, James Nachtwey is a hero of mine and also one of the greatest war photographers. The DVD is 1 hr 40 minutes long and includes interviews and trailer and Bios in the extra's. It tells his story as a photographer and all shot on location in Palestine, The Baltic's, Africa etc. Pretty powerful stuff and includes a micro camera on his SLR to show his view as he takes the shots. Oh and in case your wondering, he's a Canon user! Overall this is a pretty good DVD for any photographers collection and it shows the world why photography is an important medium.

I just looked at a few of his photographs from Afghanistan. I have video of buzkashi but most of my photographs are people shots.
