As for feedback on the photo ...

This kind of misses for me. The splash is interesting, but enough to make it a strong subject.
This looks more like a missed shot of whatever made the splash.
Sometimes this works well when the viewer can tell what created the splash - like the end of a dive where only the toes are seen as evidence.
Here there is just not enough story to carry the image in my opinion.
