Water wings

That's the title of this "photographic sculpture" at Blackpool, Lancashire. My photograph is a detail of the sculpture which is very large. The light blue is the sky seen through it - the dark blue is the painted metal (chipped in places). For more info go to http://photoreflect.blogspot.com

Interesting sculpture... its kind of one of those optical illusions that you have to stare at for a while to really see. Neat!

As a former swimming instructor I cannot quite follow your thoughts in your blog, other than that I do think that swimming is great fun and that often enough those swimmers who drown have over-estimated their abilities - often enough with the help of something "to drink" - in dangerous or tricky waters. It is not the fact that they can swim as such that made them get the situation wrong... But ok, that is not about the photo ...

... which I find confusing.
If that was the intent, then it works!
