Waterfall

Ok a few shots of an autumn waterfall. The first one is an experiment to try with a tele lens:

A wider angle shot of the whole fall

and one with a macro lens of an angle which I liked

I like the last one too. The first is too 50/50 and need to be cropped on the top or bottom. I like the second one too but maybe it could lose a little of the bottom dead space IMHO. There all nicely done though

On the first one I tried multiple variations on how to place the fall and finally saw that exactly in the middle works the best here

Putting the fall lower and showing more trees almost killed the waterfall effect and putting the fall to majority kind of removed most of the nice colorful background.

I think that seeing the first one, my eyes are always trying to go back and fourth to the top and the bottom. I think maybe instead of putting the breaking point right in the middle, put it in the top, or bottom third of the frame. The last to are great.

Love #2 and #3 - think #3 is good because the rock in the foreground is static and sharp but you have captured the motion of the water behind. Fantastic!
