I love the image, lighting, pose and composition, but not a fan of the processing. I'm just so boring sometimes haha. I'm sure the client will adore it.
Which one of 'em will sing the blues first? Sorry...I can;t resist a set-up like this one offers! I LIKE the "effect" of this. Nicely used rainy-covered clear umbrella...that prop has a good vibe to it when used in this context. Allegorically, it's like, "Storm clouds may loom above us, but since we have this "umbrella" above us (we have "the over-arching umbrella of love), together, we will be safe and warm, and protected from the storm."
It was obviously raining, so as I was going through the shots to make up a quick slideshow for the reception, I was looking for ways to bring out the clouds/skies rather than leaving them white. I previewed a preset that seamed to make this one pop, and it was only a few tweaks from there to here. So that's why it's blue. Thinking about it, it might not stand on it's own, as strongly as it looks when compared to a bunch of other 'normal' looking shots. Either way, I appreciate any and all thoughts & opinions.
Love the shot Mike, and I understand your thinking with respect to the processing, but for me, it's just a little too blue. It might look a lot different as part of a set however.
I like the blue tint, gives it a kind of fantasy feel to the photo. Like they are living in their own little fantasy...which, let's face it, most newlyweds are.
