What is the recommended crop size when you are working on a pic to save for print? If I use a 4x6 crop and they want the pic blown up it will likely take some of the pic. Also, what is the recommended print size 4x5, 4x6 etc.?

If you have it enlarged, just keep the 3:2 ratio. That means 8x12's instead of 8x10's.

That, or shoot with the 4x5 ratio in mind.

I asked an instructor of mine (long time pro) this same question. He said just to leave them in the 2:3 ratio.

I tell my clients, that if they want a different ratio, just ask and I'll crop it for them. Although, any printer/lab will crop or allow them to crop when they order the prints.
