Wedding Photography Equipment

More gear makes it more confusing and you have to carry it, there is more to keep your eye on more to go missing, last wedding i did for a friend i used 1 M4 28mm, 40mm, and a Mamiya c330 and 80mm

I never said i drug everything inside the venue. I said i bring it. It sits in the car. I only bring what i need to shoot with inside. I typically only carry the same amount of gear you just listed. On the off chance something changes and i need another piece of equipment, i have it close by. Still better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

A what if a scumbag see's you taking gear out of the car, with all that gear left in the car ? i never leave any gear in the car

What if a time/space vortex opens up at my house and swallows up all the gear i left there? What if a scumbag sees you with a camera and stabs you for it?

I like your quote in your signature. Very fitting for this forum. :)
I dont like it that much. It advises to insult people. I rather prefer Frederick Douglass:
A gentleman will not insult me, and no man not a gentleman can insult me.

Oh and btw, this is one of the tamest forums I know when it comes to insults. Not the tamest of all, but very tame.
I found humor in the quote. I thought it was funny. I giggled.

For the people asking about the 70-200mm, I just bought the 70-200mm Tamron 2.8 myself and haven't got much use (picked it up yesterday evening) But so far it look pretty clear&crisp from the few in door pictures I took with just the speedlight.

I have seen a few tests and the tamron at 200mm vignetting a lot..

4:09

since I own a tamron 70-200 f/2.8 I decided to take it out back on a D7100 and see for myself.
These are converted from raw in lightroom, no other tinkering done to them. basically SOOC. Both shot at 200mm.
im not seeing "a lot" of vignetting here, even at the f/2.8 image.

I think the reason you're not seeing any vignetting is that the lens was being used on an APS-C size sensor, and not the FF sensors Granger used. Same issue with the VR-1 from Nikon; vignetting is not an issue on APS-C, but on the FF bodies, there's plenty of vignetting.

not that im upset about that or anything....
but, I was unaware the vignetting issues were that distinctly different between FX and DX.
so.. lesson learned. thanks Derrel.
I had not considered the "cropped" portion not used on a DX camera using a FX lens.
I guess I will have to revisit this lens when I go to FX.
either way, as long as the OP is using DX, I guess its fine. if they are planning to go to FX anytime soon...take it into consideration. or, correct in post.

Yeah...I bought my 70-200 Nikkor back when it was introduced, before there were any FF Nikon cameras. That lens is VERY good on APS-C...it was I think, actually designed to perform well on APS-C, which is a format that needs high MTF, but across only a 29mm diameter image circle. WHile the lens DOES cover the full 43mm circle of FX, it however does not illuminate the entire FX field all that well, and the corners are also just a tiny bit 'soft' on high-MP FX. On the 12 MP FX Nikons,. the original 70-200 was good; on the 24- and 36-MP FX bodies, its weaknesses became apparent, and Nikon released the VR-II model, which has MUCH better corners, especially in terms of sharpness.

I don't really mind light fall-off that much on a lot of shots. In fact, many times I kinda' LIKE its look! And these days, vignetting is pretty easy to correct--either IN THE CAMERA, with Nikon's Vignetting Control settings in the Custom Function menu, OR, later, in post.
