Week 3: Long Exposure

^^that's how you do it!

If you can, go there again and shoot it during a new moon, THAN you'll see stars!

I've tried doing long exposures under a new moon, but all you get is a silhouette of the landscape because of how extremely dim the light is. However, I HAVE done new moon pictures of a friend of mine's truck and "painted" it with a white LED flashlight. All you could see was the truck and star streaks. It was a really cool effect, but I don't have any idea what happened to the picture. It sounds like it's time for a reshoot!

Since I've gotten some pretty good feedback here I thought I'd throw in a link in my original post to a blog I just made. It's basically just telling the story of each of my "picture of the week" entries. Enjoy!

thats pretty cool. I was doing alot of these last august, with a carnival in town and the windparks in desert and mtn enviroments, it made it really fun and interesting.
