For this weeks challenge, create and photograph some flat lays. If you don’t know what a flat lay is, see the links below for some explanation and examples. A lot of different components make up a successful flat lay photograph: color palette, theme, lighting, backdrop, story, layout... It’s a chance to really show off both your creativity and your photography skills. If you use Instagram, check out the Raw Flatlays feed for some inspiration.

As always new photos only for the weekly challenge please. Get out there and shoot!

Thank you for including those links Sharon.
I hadn't a clue what you'd meant by flatlay.
I'm a little disappointed that it's not photographing while napping.

There’s your first theme. Things needed for a good nap.

I’ll start us off with something that I’ll just call “low hanging fruit”.

I like your title, "low hanging fruit."
A friend of mine says that quite a bit.
Which of the Fujis is that in your shot? I know you often shoot with the X-T2.

That’s the xf10. I got it for hiking and family vacations but since getting the iphone11 it doesn’t get a lot of use.

Thanks for picking the flat lay for this week's challenge. I've had one in mind for a year now, but was too lazy to pull the stuff out packed away. I've seen many flat lays that were wedding photography. Most have a ribbon of the wedding color, flowers, the invitation and sometimes the rings or the bride's shoes. One uses a piece of white felt as the background and takes it to the reception to quickly pose a few items.
